This café blew my mind; incredible décor combined with an even better menu. Adam and I were almost a week into our travels and we were craving something other than noodles and curry (some may see this as blasphemy but it’s true).
Phnom Penh wasn’t quite pushing our buttons (perhaps we stayed in the wrong area?) but just 30 minutes of research down, we stumbled upon VIBE café and everything started to look a little brighter…
VIBE is a collaboration of like-minded folk who love beautiful things, conscience living and believe a plant based diet is optimum for our health and environment. We want to honour the abundance of nutrition that comes from the earth.
Now I’m not going to sit here and pretend that I honour the plant based lifestyle, because I don’t. I’m not vegan, or even vegetarian. Nevertheless I appreciate and admire the lifestyle and the incredible flavours and dished created just by using earth based produce.
Location:
Situated on a small side road just off the Russian market, VIBE provides a slice of tranquil escapism from the madness of Cambodia’s capital. We circled the Russian market quite a few times before finding this little café so here’s the address for those planning to go: 26A, Street 446, Tuol Tom Poung, Phnom Penh.
The Café:
Walking in you’ll be blown away by the modern, minimalist décor – a massive difference to anything we’d experienced in south east Asia so far. Imagine crisp white walls, hanging wicker lamp shades reflecting the wicker furniture and green houseplants…everywhere!

The menu:
Everything on the menu is 100% vegan. The health-focused dishes include gluten free, raw and sugar free options. With everything made in-house, the quality is second-to-none and the food is extremely well-presented…some might say an Instagrammers dream!
For breakfast, chai seeds, raw cacao, acai and spirulina are just a few of the superfoods taking the lead on this menu. Whilst lunch and dinner sees the protein powered chickpea make an appearance supported by beetroot, quinoa and avocado – the perfect recipe for a nutritious but tasty delight.
Desert is just as tempting with to die for raw salted caramel and chocolate slice or the delicious coconut smoothie bowl we shared (pictured below).

Wash it all down with a fresh coconut or perhaps a fresh cold pressed juice knowing you’ve had a tasty meal that’s done you good. Not only that, but 10% of all profits go to the Good Vibe Foundation, supporting healthy projects for people who need it most.
VIBE is located in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap – a must if you’re visiting either city!
